The Rosewood box of rectangular form extensively inlaid with geometric mosaic decoration to the exterior raised upon four double ribbed bun feet. When opened the Tunbridge Sewing Box reveals a blue paper lining removable tray with various compartments for sewing tools and accessories including Tunbridge Ware original accessories and lids. The Sewing Box dates to the first half of the 19th century during very early Victorian period and the Circa 1845. The Tunbridge box comes complete with working lock and tasselled key.
